Its finally happening! Months of preparation and hard work, this is it!
It was a great morning to start off the awesome journey ahead! Our flight leaves at noon but our PASSIONATE volunteers are already there since morning! Everyone had a hearty breakfast but wasted no time and are already underway with last final bit of preparations!
We then split ourselves into our four elemental groups (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) as we each received our individual elemental shirts and the main shirt. Thanks to Revival Trading Group for their kind sponsorship ! Not only which, we also wish to thank YEP for their providing us their awesome YEP shirts as well !
Speed is of the essence! Everyone swiftly wrapped up their administrative preparations and are already ready for the journey! Philippines, here we come !
The plane touched down right on time and volunteers swiftly sprung into action after a short respite during the flight. We travelled in vans to our next destination, Dinner! Special thanks to YMCA of Pangasinan for the delicious meal! Additional note, Filipino drivers have really unorthodox but nonetheless great driving skills :D
After dinner, we resumed our journey towards YMCA Pangasinan Guest Hotel. It was a long 3 hour journey ride. We reached YMCA at about 12 midnight. The Filipino volunteers were waiting for us eagerly despite the late hour, we felt really welcome and tired at the same time as we proceeded to rest for the night :) Day 2 awaits !
