COR'12 Trip Itinerary

HELLO COR!

The wait... IS OVER! 



















This year's camp is going to be so awesome, we just couldn't keep it to ourselves any longer :) Read on to find out more... (we know you want to!) 

The itinerary and details of COR'12 were officially released on 3 March 2012, during our Meet and Greet session. The very exciting Meet and Greet Video was also screened that day, revealing the mystery surrounding this year's COR...

Details of COR’ 12


Theme: Pushing Limits, Stretching Horizons
Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Duration: 5 Days, 5 Nights
Date: 13 - 18 June 2012* (*subject to minor changes)


Breakdown of activities by day:


Day 0 - 13 June 2012
  • Take overnight flight to Kuala Lumpur

Day 1 - 14 June 2012
  • Transit to Siem Reap in the morning.
  • Alight at Siem Reap International Airport, and land transfer to Phnom Kulen. 
  • 8km Trekking at Phnom Kulen
    • Phnom Kulen (Mount Kulen) is located north-east of Siem Reap.
    • The mountain is estimated to be standing at 487 metres. 
    • We will also be trekking to the River of Thousand Lingas and have the opportunity to visit a small beautiful waterfall nearby.
  • Overnight stay at campsite, which is in a monk monastery.

Day 2 - 15 June 2012
  • Devote 1 full day to CIP work in a poor primary school at Banteay Srey. 
  • Project: Garden Restoration Project (CIP)
  • 4 plots of land to restore so to give a better outdoor environment to the children in school.

  • Gifts of stationery, drawing materials, and a soccer ball to the children are welcomed!
  • Overnight stay at campsite, which is in a monk monastery. 

Day 3 - 16 June 2012
  • Land transfer from campsite to cycling start point. 
  • Morning activity: 18km Cycling to Rolous group of Temples
    • Cycling on dirt tracks and roads (*Note: low traffic activity)
    • May have the opportunity to interact with the local community to learn about their way of life. 
    • Helmets will be provided for safety vehicles. There will also be a safety vehicle following us while cycling. 
    • Cycling end point: Bakhong Village



  • At Bakhong Village, we will proceed with Ox-cart Riding. 
    • There will be an ox-cart waiting, and the ride is 30 minutes long. 
    • Along the way, there are many photo-taking opportunities of scenic views, or of the local community. 

  • After that, we will reach the entrance of Rolous group of Temples and enjoy lunch around that area. 
  • Land transfer to hotel and place our bags. 
  • Afternoon activity: Dhatu Amazing Race
    • This is a half-day activity that will immerse our group in challenges. 
    • Groups will race around Siem Reap town to complete 8 challenges. 
    • Groups will travel around in Tuk Tuk to designated challenge venues. 
    • Points are awarded for each challenge and the group with the most points wins the race. 

Day 4 - 17 June 2012
  • Visit to Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Phrom. 
    • 1 full day of visit to  Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Phrom. 
    • Cultural and history appreciation, get to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
    • Great photo-taking opportunities






Day 5 - 18 June 2012
  • Wake up early for breakfast.
  • Travel back to Singapore! 


Meals:
  • At campsite: Restaurant caterer
  • At Siem Reap town: Restaurants 



Costs:
  • Student: $250/pax
  • Adult (21 years old as of 1st Jan 2012): $270/pax

**Note: Accomodation and flight details are not confirmed yet.

***Note: 
(1) Please submit either the softcopy WITH signature to corcgl@gmail.com OR hardcopy to Gui Ju or Shu Wei. 
(2) The entire registration form has to be filled up including the medical form and indemnity form
(3) No need to get the medical form certified by doctor but must still fill it up and submit
(4) Indemnity form has to be submitted with signature
