Recruitment Interview

Thank you to those who came down to Camp OutReach (COR) booth during the Welfare Services Club (WSC) Fair. This year, we have over 130 undergraduates who expressed interest in joining COR as a Main Committee member or volunteer. Your strong spirit of volunteerism is simply impressive! You have taken the first step to sign up with us, now you are just one step away to carve a deeper impression upon the interviewers. Let us give you some tips on how you can do that.

i) Ask yourself how can you contribute to Camp OutReach? Which portfolio^ or area is your forte?
  • Use your past experience/achievements to back you up
  • If you don't know what you can contribute, neither do we!
ii) Have a good idea on what the portfolio you are applying is about. Ask questions if you are unsure.

iii) We are looking for committed team-players. So if you have many commitments and you are thinking of going for overseas exchange, you may want to reconsider your priorities.

iv) For people applying for Publicity & Publication Officer and Media & Information Officer, you are strongly encouraged to bring along your previous works/portfolios to show the interviewers.

^For individual portfolio descriptions, please refer to our previous entry here.

Flow of Recruitment Interview

2) Grab a Camp OutReach Main Committee Interview Form* at the central booth and fill it up.

3) Proceed down the stairs, turn left (Union Room) and look for our volunteers wearing White Polo-Tee.

4) Volunteer-in-white will give you a queue number, and wait for your turn to be interviewed.

6) Keep your fingers crossed and wait for our reply!

* To save time, you can download and print out the recruitment interview form on the right and fill in your particulars before you come.
