Chuan Han has no prior experience interacting with the Deaf community and hence joined Camp OutReach in hope of being able to reach out to the Deaf, as well as gain a meaningful learning experience. So far, she has enjoyed attending the basic sign language lessons and hopes that if given the time and chance, she would be able to learn sign language at a more advanced level.
Her hobbies include singing and playing the piano.

Interview with Chuan Han

1) Why do you want to join the Camp Outreach Organising Committee?

I hope to play a part in helping the hearing impaired and to make a difference in their lives. I also hope to learn and gain exposure and experience and grow from it.

2) What does your role as Secretary require you to do?

As the secretary, my jobscope includes assisting the president and the vice-president, handling all the administrative duties, collating attendance for events and meetings as well as contributing to ideas during brainstorming sessions.

3) Any challenges you have met thus far and how did you overcome them?

So far, my role as a secretary has been smooth sailing and I have not faced any major challenges. However, collating attendance may take some time and I have got to push for members' replies at times.

4) Why should those who have joined previous years' COR participate in COR 09?

I am sure that those that have joined and enjoyed previous years' COR would like to relieve the enjoyable and experience they had. Besides, COR 09 would do much more, and the activities and schedule arranged for them would guarantee them more fun to come.

5) What do you hope the participants can gain or achieve from COR 09?

I hope the participants woulde be able to challenge their limits, to learn from increased exposure and to forge new bonds and friendships.
